Du hast bestimmt in der Schule eine oder mehrere Sprachen gelernt.You probably learned one or more languages in school.

Ich weiß nicht, wie es bei dir war, aber für mich war es oft langweilig. Es ging um Themen, die mich nicht wirklich interessierten und keine Relevanz für mein Leben hatten.I do not know how it was for you, but for me it was often boring. It was about topics that did not really interest me and had no relevance to my life.

In der Oberschule wurde es zum Glück ein bisschen besser. Im Englischunterricht lasen wir interessante Bücher und hatten ab und zu spannende Diskussionen.In high school it was got a little bit better, fortunately. In English class we read interesting books and had exciting discussions from time to time.

Es gab aber auch viele Grammatikübungen, die ich nicht so sehr mochte.But there were also many grammar exercises that I did not like so much.

Später habe ich herausgefunden, dass man eine Sprache dadurch lernen kann, indem man verständliche Inhalte konsumiert — indem man viel liest und viel hört. Was das für Material ist, ist im Prinzip egal — Hauptsache, man findet es interessant und die Vokabeln, die man braucht, kommen häufig vor.Later I found out that you can learn a language by consuming comprehensible input — by reading and listening a lot. What kind of material basically does not matter — the main thing is that you will find it interesting and that the vocabulary you need is used frequently.

Da habe ich mir gedacht: Warum nicht Deutschlernen und persönliche Entwicklung kombinieren?Then I thought: Why not combine German learning and personal development?

Wenn es fast egal ist, worüber ich als Deutschlehrer spreche, warum spreche ich nicht einfach über persönliche Entwicklung?If it almost doesn’t matter what I speak about as a German teacher why don’t I just talk about personal development?

Ich möchte dir Deutsch auf eine effiziente Art und Weise beibringen. Aber nicht nur das; ich möchte dich auch dazu inspirieren, dein Leben zu verbessern.I want to teach you German in an efficient manner. But not only that; I want also to inspire you to improve your life.

Ich möchte dich dazu zu inspirieren, eine bessere Version deines Selbst zu werden (glücklicher, klüger, effektiver, authentischer), während du Deutsch lernst.I would like to inspire you to become a better version of yourself (happier, more knowledgeable, more effective, more authentic) while you learn German.

Deswegen mache ich viele Videos über persönliche Entwicklung, schreibe Artikel darüber, behandle dieses Thema in der Authentic German Learning Academy und so weiter. In Zukunft werde ich sogar noch viel mehr Material über persönliche Entwicklung für dich produzieren.That’s why I’m making many videos about personal development, write articles about it, cover this topic in the Authentic German Learning Academy and so on. In the future I will produce even much more material about personal development for you.

Es ist immer eine Balance zwischen persönlicher Entwicklung und Aspekte der deutschen Sprache, die ich für dich klären möchte. Natürlich möchte ich auch deine Fragen über die deutsche Sprache beantworten.It’s always a balance between personal development and aspects of the German language that I would like to clarify for you. Of course I want to answer your questions about the German language as well.

Ich für meinen Teil bin vollauf begeistert von persönlicher Entwicklung. Ich bin besessen davon.I for one am completely thrilled by personal development. I’m obsessed with it.

Wenn wir uns große Ziele setzen und uns jeden Tag verbessern, können wir Ziele erreichen, die uns jetzt unmöglich scheinen.If we set high goals and we improve ourselves every day, we can achieve goals that seem impossible to us now.

Ich bin an einem Punkt in meinem Leben, den ich vor ein paar Jahren noch für unmöglich gehalten hatte! Ich arbeite im Internet, ich reise um die Welt, ich liebe meine Arbeit und möchte so viel arbeiten wie möglich, ich bin begeistert von meinem Leben und beginne jeden Tag mit voller Energie!I’m at a point in my life which I had considered impossible a few years ago! I work on the Internet, I travel around the world, I love my work and want to work as much as possible, I am passionate about my life and start every day with full of energy!

Das kannst du auch erreichen. Du kannst alles erreichen, was du dir vornimmst. Investiere in dich selbst.You can achieve that as well. You can achieve anything you set out to do.

Investiere in deine persönliche Entwicklung. Du wirst über dich selbst erstaunt sein.Invest in yourself. Invest in your personal development. You’ll be amazed with yourself.
